Research Opportunities for Undergraduate Students:
Short- and long-term research opportunities are available for undergraduate students interested in the following topics:
a) Removal and inactivation of viruses in drinking water using elemental iron (one of the seven top advances showcased in NASA Tech Briefs in 2007) b) Treatment of explosives and industrial chemicals using elemental iron c) Chemical and biological remediation of contaminated groundwater d) Transformation of organic contaminants catalyzed by black carbon (Delaware EPSCoR research profile)
Students will work with Dr. Chiu and graduate students on a selected project. May work for stipend or course credit. Contact Dr. Chiu for more information.
