Yuefeng F. Xie,   Ph.D.,  P.E.,  BCEE
A registered environmental engineer and a certified water operator in Pennsylvania, Dr. Xie is a
Professor of Environmental Engineering at Penn State Harrisburg and  a Diplomate of the
American Academy of Environmental Engineering.  Further, distinctions include:

Dr. Xie received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984, M.S. degree in Environmental
Engineering in 1986, and Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering in 1989 from Tsinghua
University, Beijing, China.  He held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Civil Engineering at
the University of Massachusetts at Amherst from 1989 to 1994.  In 1995, he joined the
Environmental Programs at Penn State Harrisburg.  His current professional and academic
interests include disinfection byproduct analysis and control, water reuse, and water operator
training.
