One of them was from Army Research Laboratory through Leonard Wood Institute, “Developing a Deployable Wastewater Treatment and Reuse System for Military Base Camps ($516,456).” The focus of this project is to develop an easy to build and operate, economical, and deployable wastewater treatment system for army use and small community use. This project was developed based on one of Dr. Wangs patents. The second project was from USDA, jointly received by researchers in three universities, “Reducing Arsenic Uptake by Domestic Rice Plants.” Dr. Wang will work with his collaborators, Dr. John Yang at Lincoln University and Dr. Baolin Deng at University of Missouri Columbia for this project.
