Call for Papers

The 3rd workshop on Circuits and Systems for Medical and Environmental Applications (CASME 3rd workshop), January 9-10, 2012, Merida, Yucat¨¢n, Mexico.   (http://amsc.tamu.edu/CASME1/CASME12/index.html).

This third CaSME workshop is jointly co-sponsored by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE), the Texas A&M Analog and Mixed Signal Center, Biotroniks, Boston Scientific and endorsed by the IEEE (Circuits and Systems Society) and LiSSA (IEEE CAS Life Science System and Applications). CaSME invites you to participate in this exciting second workshop to advance Medical and Environmental applications with a Circuits and Systems perspective ¨C a highly multidisciplinary approach to leverage on the diversity of circuits and systems (including solid-sate circuits, neural networks, signal processing, etc) to improve health by the development and application of biomedical technologies, and to monitor and control environment influences on the development and progression of human diseases.

This workshop will highlight recent advances in the following areas:

¡¤         Organic Semiconductors in Medical Applications

¡¤         Electronic Circuits and Systems for Brain Science

¡¤         Instrumentation for Image-guided Diagnosis and Therapy

¡¤         Medical Micro / Nano-Electronics, Nanodevices and Nanorobots

You are encouraged to submit either a 250 word maximum abstract (not archived) or an IEEE 4-page manuscript format (for publication in IEEE Explore) with emphasis on original work, this is the author’s choice.  Potential topics are listed above (but not limited).
